1 For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
2 The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.
3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.
5 As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.
6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest,
7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
8 The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: "Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;
9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."
10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.
11 The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: "Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.'"
12 They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.
This short canonical chapter is a hodgepodge of five scripts.
Revised Chapter 62 selects six and a half canonical verses, imports one more and carries the title, "For Zion's Sake I Will Not Keep Silent."
8-9. The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: "Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled; 9 but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord, and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."
Analysis: Verses 8-9 have the return from the Babylon in mind ("in the courts of my sanctuary"). The event is still future ("will drink it") but not far off.
Destination: Revised Chapter 51, "Awake, Awake, O Zion!"
10. Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.
Analysis: This is the continuation of Isaiah 57:14, as shown below.
Destination: Revised Chapter 48, "Leave Babylon, Flee From The Babylonians!"
57:14 And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people. 10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations."
11. The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: "Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.'"
Analysis: This verse copies Isaiah 40:10, "See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him."
Destination: To be the opening verse of Revised Chapter 40, "Comfort Zion."
12. They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.
Explanation: "You" is the city of Jerusalem during the reign of the Branch of the Lord. Her citizens will then be called the Holy People.
Destination: Revised Chapter 60, "The City of The Lord, Zion of The Holy One of Israel,"
65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. 12 They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.
6. I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest,
Reason: The first half of the verse, "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night," interrupts the narrative of verses 1-5 without justification.
Destination of the first half: Revised Chapter 64, "Our Holy And Glorious Temple Has Been Burned With Fire,"
59:20 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the Lord. First Half of 6 "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. 52:8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes."The second half of the verse, "You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest," carries on from verses 1-5.
Destination of the second half: Here.
58:12. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
1 1 For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

Second Half of 6 You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
